Externship Programs
The Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center externship program is designed to expose veterinary students to broad spectrum of equine veterinary practice. Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center enjoys an incredibly rich heritage and we embrace the opportunity to work one on one with veterinary students, providing mentorship and insight into sports medicine, surgery, imaging, internal medicine, emergency care and more.
Visiting as an extern provides a valuable opportunity to explore all that Alamo Pintado has to offer and is an important step in determining your path beyond graduation from veterinary school. We look forward to hosting you.
Steps to Obtaining an Externship at Alamo Pintado
Externs must be in the last two years of veterinary school.

We will contact you when we receive your submission to arrange a zoom meeting to give you an opportunity to ask questions about the details of our hospital and our externship program and to confirm available dates for your externship experience.
