Stem cells can survive more than 10 years in a liquid nitrogen storage system like the one in use at the Alamo Pintado Stem Cell Laboratory. Stem cell samples are maintained securely under ideal conditions, with a full complement of alarms, video surveillance, access limited to key personnel and backup systems.
